Rizia has initiated her sister and niece (brother's daughter) Sadia Atique and Ayesha respectively to boxing. Laila Ali, Muhammad Ali's daughter, is another great influence. The Bengal Boxing Federation realised if had to scout talented girls and create infrastructure for practice and tournaments.

The championship gave them the necessary competition and encouragement before the nationals. "Rizia took to the game as a duck takes to water," says Mirajuddin. While Rizia (22) has turned coach at a young age, she is determined to pursue the sport and will take part in 1837 Collection Lock Necklace Set coming Nationals. Besides Rizia, 12 other girls practise in the Khiddirpore SOPC. Bengal's two other promising women pugilists Rahima and Parveen Khatoon practise at the Kalighat Park.
